Eggplant is a Fruit?!

At first glance, you notice the beautiful deep purple color. It looks more like a work of art than a vegetable. The eggplant is regal, I imagine the eggplant being high society in the fruit world.

Eggplants belong to the nightshade family of fruit, which also includes tomatoes, sweet peppers and potatoes. They grow in a manner much like tomatoes, hanging from the vines of a plant that grows several feet in height. While the different varieties do range slightly in taste and texture, one can generally describe the eggplant as having a pleasantly bitter taste and spongy texture.

Juice: Concentrate or Not from Concentrate

I drink orange juice almost every morning, it is my juice of choice. My husband has grape juice almost every morning, that's his juice of choice.

Questions were being asked on some show I was watching about fruit juice, what's the best juice to drink concentrated or unconcentrated … Is it healthy? Is sugar added? In my head I started defending juice ... Yes, it's healthy. I love it, so if it's natural, how could it not be healthy? I’m talking 100% juice not some sugary drink.

I now wanted to know which of the two types is healthiest. Shopping for my morning orange juice, I had to decide which was best for my family!

Tequila – How to use it outside of Taking Shots

I have a respectful passion for Tequila. My lust for Tequila started back in 1995, when my husband and I went to Windsor celebrating his graduation from the University of Detroit. This was before you needed a passport to get over the bridge leading to Canada. We stayed in a hotel for 3 days. We spent a day at the casino and that's where I had my first Margarita….it was strong, sweet and sour. The flavor of the Tequila, the tartness of the lemon and lime, the sweetness from the sugar lingers around your taste buds, uhm mmm... One taste started a love affair that has lasted 20 years.
