STOP!!! Go to Your Seasoning Cabinet Right Now and Throw this OUT!!!
Today I’m pissed off at my Sarcoidosis!
It bothers me that there is a disease called Sarcoidosis that people don’t talk about because I guess it’s not a bigger disease. Not looking for any sympathy, really. I’m just what a person would call pissed off. Rightfully so. It sneaks up on you when you don’t have time, when you have stuff to do… like a business to run, a family to take care of..you know life. It has no respect. It doesn’t give you a warning when you are about to have a flare up. You just walk around life avoiding sick people because you know you have this autoimmune disease that loves to lower your ability to fight off illness blah blah blah.
Oh but today. I’M PISSED OFF. (more…)
How Dunkin Peppermint Mocha Latte set off the Holiday Season!
Gahhhhh!! Fammmm I did it! I tried coffee, and it made me happy! So my tastebuds wanted to cook with it. First thing I did was try to figure out how to get it into a Donut!!! It's the holidays and this would be a totally different way to level up desserts with all of my favorite things. I tried it with different coffees but my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE... IS THE DUNKIN PEPPERMINT MOCHA LATTE!!!!!
Listennnnn!!!! Y'all know I'm a picky eater.. so if a saint was gonna try coffee....I needed to know which one I liked the best and stick with it!! I found out last year that Dunkin Donuts didn't have the Peppermint Mocha Latte so surelyyyyyy God knew it was time for them to bless us with it this year!!! I'm so happy they did. The flavor is nice and deep. Like a red wine of coffee deep and then pairing it with Peppermint, and Almond Milk.. or Soy Milk.. or Oat Milk.. wellll huntyyyyy IT'S GOOD GOOD!
So you now me, I wanted to find a way to stick that flavor into something I loved. A Donut. So just imagine.. a (york peppermint patty on coffee.... STRAIGHT FIRE)
OK...enough with my over the top descriptions!!! Let me just give you this recipe!!! Oh.. and we made it on Fox 2 News Detroit this morning.. and guess what... THEY LOVED IT!!!!

Cravings! What is your Body telling you?
The most asked question in the last 2 months has been about Snacks. So I wanted to talk to you all about it. My Meal Preps with Cooking with Que fam has been at it for 4 weeks strong now, they get Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, but they have to drink a glass a water with each meal. Meal prep I great, but what happens when you want to snack in between. Some times we Stress Eat, Some time we just wanna stuff our faces.. I’m just speaking for myself (side eyes) lol. So I’m going to give you my honest snacking options.
1. Know why you are snacking? Are you really hungry? or Nah?
2. If you are genuinely hungry… has there been any changes in your diet, activity etc.
3. Pay attention to what you are craving, because usually what we crave is what our body is lacking.
Ok… Lets look at some things we CRAVE!

Que’s Favorite Holiday Cocktail | Champagne and St. Germain
Happy Day Family!
I totally have to share my favorite holiday cocktail! The most simple drink with the greatest flavor ever! Its really nice and light! I love dry champagne because it has the lowest carbs ever, it's not too sweet, and its nice and bubbly! My favorite champagne is Veuve Clicquot, but when you are balling on a budget, any dry champagne will do! To take our celebration to the next level, I wanted to add a simple fruit like a raspberry, or a blueberry to the bottom of the flute, and to make it a more floral tasting and aromatic, I added St Germain, which is an elderflower liquor. Oh my gravy and mash potatoes! When you taste this it's going to make your life so happy!
Desserts – A healthier take on the Desserts you feed Yourself & Your Family!
Ok....
I tried not to give everyone the business on this topic, but the truth is.... IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE!
We need to change the thought process on desserts!
After dinner you think desserts are cakes, cookies, pies, pastries all that. In my mind when I see it, I know we think that way because of the history, because of those who came before us. Desserts for holidays were pies, and cobblers. Sweets. High Fructose Corn Syrup. Sugars. All sugar everything.
Hungry at 2 a.m. in Downtown Indianapolis ?? No Problem! #HotBoxPizza
First, let me say....... I wanted to catch a quick flight to Indiana, but my brain wouldn't let me be great. I'm always looking for savings and it just didn't make sense to spend $300+ on flights when we could drive four hours from Michigan and only spend $23.50 on gas! Yep. Welcome to my brain! Sooo hubby and I drove... well he drove! LOL! I was proud to be a passenger because I got 90 days worth of content ready to go for Cooking with Que!
We arrived at like 1:30 in the morning on Saturday and the city was popping! Like seriously...I'm grown and I love sleep, but Downtown Indianapolis wouldn't let me be great! People were out! Walking the streets like it was nothing! All I wanted to do was stretch my legs and check into our hotel! But our stomachs told another story! We were HUNGRY! My Husband and I were like where are 2 Vegans about to eat at 2 a.m.? In the words of my Momma (rest her soul in heaven) ain't nothing open after 2 but legs (excuse my vernacular....lol)!! Oh, but Downtown Indy was POPPINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG!!! OKAYYYY!!
It’s All About That PINK Baby!!!
“… all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. we are tied to the ocean. and when we go back to the sea ... we are going back to whence we came ...”
- john f. kennedy
Without salt we could not exist. As Chef Que would say - Let’s unlearn to relearn.
Our bodies need salt (sodium). Our cells are dependent on it. As Divine Creation, it's apart of our makeup. Think of sodium as 1 source of energy to our cells -- that 1 source that must be at the perfect balanced ratio so we do not have too much or too little.
Now I know, some of you may be thinking, What???!!! I’ve always been told sodium is NOT good for me. DON'T eat salt. DON'T use salt. And personally, I get so mad about it because my food taste so bland without it!!! Like, really? I don't want to just eat Blah!
Ok, ok, ok, so there is some truth behind WHY we have heard phrases like this - but let me balance it out a bit --- too much salt for you is NOT good but too little is NOT good for you either.
